Project Description: ASLF and the Fulton Garden Club have teamed up and have been awarded an EJ Community Impact Grant to achieve the following in Fulton:
- Install/upgrade a simple container/grow-bag tree nursery at North Bay (with irrigation)
- Plant a small food forest (20-25 trees or shrubs)
- Remove and replace 5 dead ash trees at Indian Point
- Replace additional 15 missing/dead trees at Indian Point
- Partially restore pollinator garden with river views at Indian Point
- 3-5 outreach and education events, workshops, meetings
- Tree giveaways at Fulton Garden Club plant swap
- Stipend for an exceptional youth intern to assist with nursery maintenance and other grant related tasks
- Production of a nursery management plan
- Final case study/white paper report
